Leadership BEEP is a four-day, activity-enriched program where
students evaluate their leadership and personality styles through
the use of self-assessment tools, intense workshops and interaction
with African-American executives and their student peers.
Leadership BEEP will help students to:
- Increase their understanding of effective leadership strategies and practices
- Begin to take responsibility for their own leadership development
- Increase self-awareness as well as understand how others may perceive them
- Gain information, skills and self-confidence to become successful leaders
- Establish formal mentor relationships with African-American executives
- Share views, insights and to network
- Develop action plans to implement personal change
- Learn to identify and avoid leadership pitfalls
- Create specific action plans for success
- Master the art of effective networking
- Develop business acumen, political and organizational savvy

Class size is limited to students from BEEP participating HBCUs, all of whom were recommended by their BEEP faculty liaisons.
